The Bulldogs are coming off a dominating 41-20 win last week against Merrimack and will look to get their first road win of the season.

The Bulldogs will once again look to their leaders, quarterback Dalton Easton and wide receiver Taylor Barthelette.

Easton enters the game with 4,831 passing yards and 46 touchdowns in his career. He only needs 98 passing yards to pass Mike Westerhaus for third place on Bryant’s all-time passing list and 169 passing yards to reach 5,000 for his career.

Easton would be only the third quarterback in school history to reach that milestone.

Easton’s main target, Taylor Barthelette is coming off  a huge game against Merrimack. He pulled in 7 catches for 109 yards  and 3 touchdowns, all career highs.

Barthelette needs 225 more receiving yards to become only the 7th player in school history to reach 1,000 career receiving yards.

Montana State

Montana State has been a power in the FCS just about every season, making the national playoffs in four of the last six years.

They are led by quarterback Tyler Bruggman, who last week completed 19 of 35 passes for 191 yards and a touchdown.

Senior running back Chad Newell rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown in the last game.

Montana State lost to Idaho last week and will be looking to bounce back on their home field.

Don’t Look Ahead

After Bryant’s game against Montana State they return to Smithfield to host in state rival Brown University.

So this week is a trap game of sorts and the Bulldogs need to avoid looking ahead.
