Desmond Cambridge leads Brown past UMass Lowell
After back-to-back close losses, the Brown Bears men’s basketball team earned their first win of the season on Friday night, beating UMass Lowell 82-74 at the Pizzitola Sports Center on the first day of the Brown Bear Tip-Off Classic.

The Bears were led by sophomore Desmond Cambridge, who poured in 23 points on 8 of 21 shooting from the field.

"Our ability to turn them over and get to the foul line was a key to the game. I’m happy we won and pleased that several of our players contributed off the bench, especially Chris Sullivan and David Mitchell. Desmond is a special talent and he put that on display tonight,” said Brown head coach Mike Martin after the game.
