Celtics Sign Forward Enes Kanter to 2-Year, $10 Million Deal

The Boston Celtics signed forward Enes Kanter to a two-year deal worth $10 million, with the second season being a player option.

The signing comes after the Celtics traded away Aron Baynes during the NBA Draft and lost Al Horford to the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency on Sunday night.

Kanter is entering his ninth season in the NBA.

Over his career, he averages 11.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while shooting 54.1% from the field.

He has shot better than 50% in six of his nine seasons in the league.

Kanter was drafted by the Utah Jazz in 2011 and has spent time with the Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks, before finishing last season with the Portland Trail Blazers.

He helped the Blazers reach the Western Conference Finals, where they lost to the Golden State Warriors.
