Cranston 12-and-Under Little League Softball State Champs Win First Game at Regionals

The Cranston League for Cranston’s Future (CLCF) 12-and-under girls softball all-stars won their opening game of the Little League Softball New England Region Tournament in convincing fashion on Sunday.

The team beat Massachusetts 10-5, in televised play on ESPN+.

Rhode Island now plays the winner of Monday’s game between Vermont and Connecticut, on Wednesday night at 7 PM.

Vermont had downed Maine 10-1 to advance in the winner’s bracket. 

The New England regional tournament is double elimination, with the championship game scheduled for Friday afternoon.
