Cranston’s Emerging Soccer Star Ties MLS Record in His Debut Start

New England Revolution midfielder Damian Rivera marks his first MLS start with his first MLS goal in the first minute of the Revs' meeting with Inter Miami CF on Saturday at Gillette Stadium.

This is only the third time in MLS history when a player scored in the first minute in their first start.

Rivera is a Cranston native and a homegrown talent. He played for the Revolution’s Academy for the past three years.

The Revolution won Saturday night 2-0.
