They're two extremely explosive players and they've been working well together.”
It was more of the same for the Rams to start the second half. La Salle started the half on a 4-0 run, getting two goals from Pressler, one from Migliori, and one from senior Rachel Padilla, making it an 11-4 game.
After Moses Brown scored four goals of their own to cut their deficit to 11-8, Padilla and Migliori stepped up and scored huge goals for the Rams, putting the game out of reach for the Quakers.
Naughton knows that her team has a tremendous opportunity coming up on Saturday, one that she believes they'll be ready for.
“We just have to come out and be ready to play anybody,” Naughton said. “We certainly know how good Barrington is, but we only have to be better than them one time. We're looking forward to the challenge. This has been a huge goal for us. We haven't made it out of the semifinals since 2010, so this was a goal for us that we needed to realize.”
Undefeated Barrington too much for Bay View
Kelly Dolan's five goals helped top-seeded Barrington High School defeat Bay View 14-10 in the night cap of the Division I semifinals.
Bay View had an early 3-2 lead on undefeated Barrington, but couldn't contain the Eagles for long. Barrington then netted five unanswered goals to take a 7-3 lead into the half. Dolan led the way for the Eagles in the first half, scoring three goals. Barrington also got two goals from Beatrice Bramhall, one from Cameron MacDonald, and one from Elizabeth Dolan.
Goals from Kelly and Elizabeth Dolan, as well as Madeline Soutter early in the second half stretched the Barrington lead once again. Bay View made a run with under five minutes remaining in the game, cutting their deficit to just three goals, but Barrington was just too much to handle, possessing the ball during the final minutes to clinch the victory.
Senior captain Devan Miller led Bay View in the game, scoring four goals and causing fits for Barrington's defense with her speed.
Barrington will look to make the most of their opportunity Saturday, as the Eagles fell in last year's Division I title game to Moses Brown.
