Ledo Verbally Commits to PC

Former Hendricken and St. Andrews star Riccardo Ledo has made a verbal commitment.

South Kent junior shooting guard and Providence native Ledo just announced on his Twitter account that he is verbally committing to the Friars for the fall of 2012. Ledo Twitted, "I'm proud to be a PC Friar [and] happy with my choice."

PC is off to a strong 11-2 start as it gets ready to open Big East play next week against #5 Syracuse.

According to ESPN, Ledo is the No. 3 shooting guard, and No. 13 overall, for the Class of 2012 . His selection of PC is a surpise as he was being heavily pursued by a range of national powers including Kentucky, Kansas, Louisville, Syracuse, UConn, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Rhode Island, UMass, Florida, Miami, Florida State, Indiana, Texas and Villanova.
