Lincoln Wins Second Straight DI Fast Pitch Softball Title

Lincoln was led offensively on Sunday by Casie Beauchemin and Adriana Toro. Beauchemin put together a 2-for-3 day out of the lead off spot for the Lions, while Toro was Lincoln's main run producer, driving in two out of the five lions' runs, scoring twice, and collecting two hits, one of which was a triple.

Lindsay Mayer, Lincoln's senior right-handed pitcher and two-time RI Gatorade Softball Player of the Year, led her team to yet another state title. The University of Virginia bound Mayer threw a complete game, allowing just one run on three hits, while striking out four batters in a winning effort.
