Rams Can’t Hold on

URI led 68-67 following a made free throw by Stanford Robinson with 4:33 to play in the game.

From that point, Houston would use a 9-2 run, capped off by an Armani Brooks three with 1:18 to play to give the Cougars a 76-70 lead. During that run, the Cougars got six of their nine points at the foul line, converting 26 of 31 free throws in the game.

Two free throws by Cyril Langevine got URI back within four, 76-72, with 50 seconds to play, but a Denard Knowles layup on the very next possession pushed Houston’s lead right back up to six.

The Cougars would knock down four free throws to close out the game.

The Leaders
