Oregon State Athletic Director Bob De Coralis thanked Robinson in a statement for his 6 years with the program, calling the decision to fire him a difficult one.

Oregon State went 16-16 this season and finished 8-10 in the Pac-12.  The 52-year-old Robinson owns a 122-128 career record as a Head Coach.
