Wilfork With the Patriots

In his 11 seasons with New England, Wilfork was selected to five pro bowls and won two Super Bowls, the most recent coming in 2014. Last season, Wilfork returned from a torn achillies and played about 73 percent of the defensive snaps for New England.

Now with Houston

In Houston, Vince Wilfork will join former Patriots offensive coordinater, now Houston head coach Bill O'Brien, former Patriots defensive coordinater, now Houston defensive coordinater Romeo Crennel and former Patriots back up quarterback Ryan Mallett.

Wilfork will play along side J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney on the defensive line.

What This Means For New England

By letting Wilfork go, the New England Patriots save just over $8 million in salary cap space and it would appear that 2014 draft pick Dominque Easley will have a shot at winning the starting job.
