Patriots Crushed in Super Bowl — Lose 29-13 to Seahawks

After a dream season, the New England Patriots were embarrassed in the Super Bowl losing 29-13.

The Patriots fell behind 19-0 early in the 4th quarter after a Drake Maye fumble which led to Seattle’s first touchdown of the game. Previously, the Patriots defense had held four previous Seattle scoring drives to just field goals.

The Seahawks defense harassed Daye — sacking him 6 times. Rookie right tackle Will Campbell was the victim of Seattle’s rush.

And the Patriots seem to set a record for futility. Maye finished the game with two interceptions and the fumble in a brutal performance. He was just 27-43 for 295 yards. Much of it was after the game was decided.

The final score was far closer than the game.

The Patriots lead the NFL in Super Bowl appearances with 12. The Pats are now 6-6.
