The Louisville Cardinals men's basketball team, coached by former PC Head Coach Rick Pitino, has self imposed a one year postseason ban amid an ongoing investigation into alleged recruiting violations.

A former prostitute, Katrina Powell, published a book last year stating that a former Louisville employee hired a women to dance for and have sex with recruits while visiting campus..

Rick Pitino has continually denied having any knowledge of the scandal brought to light in the book.

"I don't think he [Pitino] had any idea any of this was going on. But, the thing is, the NCAA changed the plausible deniability rule so that can't be his excuse anymore. The question now is what price should he pay for something being done under his watch? How could he have known and what should he be doing better," Louisville talk radio show host Mike Rutherford told GoLocal in October.
