Power Pack: RI High School Football: October 31st

This week we see Moses Brown make their first appearance in the Power Pack, and several other teams shifting up or down based off last week. More change is yet to come, as next week we'll see La Salle vs. Barrington and Cranston East vs. Portsmouth in key Division 1 battles. Here's the top 10 heading into the week.
Power Pack: RI High School Football: October 31st
North Kingstown
Division Record: 4-1 (Division 2-B)
Overall Record: 7-1
North Kingstown knocked off Central last Friday and continue to roll in Division 2-B. The Skippers have the most prolific offense in the division with 163 points in 5 games, and are currently in 1st place in Divison 2-B by virtue of their of their head to head win over Cumberland.
Last Week: #10
Johnston
Division Record: 4-1 (Division 2-A)
Overall Record: 6-1
Johnston improved to 4-1 in Division 2-A with their win over Chariho last week, and the Panthers look like Woonsocket's main competition from where I'm standing. The Panthers are averaging 31 points per game in league contests.
Last Week: #9
Moses Brown
Division Record: 5-1 (Division 3)
Overall Record: 5-2
Moses Brown dominated Middletown to the tune of 31-7 last weekend and have proven they deserve to be included in the Power Pack. Their only losses this season have come to La Salle (by 7) and Mt. Pleasant (by 3), so the Quakers are more than capable of hanging with the top teams in the state.
Last Week: Not Ranked
Woonsocket
Division Record: 5-0 (Division 2-A)
Overall Record: 6-2
The Novans knocked off Toll Gate last weekend and got back on the winning track. Having a defense that averages 3 points allowed per game in league play makes Woonsocket the clear favorites right now in Division 2-A.
Last Week: #8
Cranston East
Division Record: 2-2 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 5-2
The Thunderbolts had a bye last week and now must gear up for a big matchup with Portsmouth this Friday. With 147 points in 4 league games, QB Alex Corvese and company keep scoreboard operators on their toes at all times.
Last Week: #6
Portsmouth
Division Record: 3-2 (Division 1)
Overall record: 5-2
The Patriots were no match for Hendricken on Friday, losing 41-21, but they've still got a resume that says they're a top 5 team in the state right now (blowing out La Salle in September helps). A win over Cranston East this Friday would put them right back into the conversation as a Top 3 team.
Last Week: #3
La Salle
Division Record: 3-1 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 5-2
La Salle had a bye last week and now get set to travel to Barrington for a huge Division 1 battle Friday Night. The Rams have shown a lot of improvement since their aforementioned loss to Portsmouth, and they have a chance to make a statement with a win over the Eagles this weekend.
Last Week: #4
Mt. Pleasant
Division Record: 6-0 (Division 3)
Overall Record: 6-1
The Kilties continue to ascend my rankings and domianted East Greenwich last weekend to further their position as Division 3's top team (and for my money, the best team outside of Division 1). Their average margin of victory in league games is 24.5 points.
Last Week: #5
Barrington
Division Record: 5-0 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 8-0
Barrington continues to roll through Division 1 unbeaten and now enter a murderer's row on the schedule. Their next 3 games are against La Salle, Hendricken, and Portsmouth, so we'll know pretty soon whether the Eagles are contenders or pretenders in Division 1.
Last Week: #2
Hendricken
Division Record: 6-0 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 8-0
The Hawks have cruised through Division 1 thus far and lead the division in points (223) and defense (59 points allowed) so far. Hendricken has a bye this week before hosting Barrington on November 8th in a game that will have first place on the line.
