Revolution Fall 2-1 to Vancouver, Home Unbeaten Streak Snapped

The New England Revolution (6-6-7) fell 2-1 to the (10-2-6) Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium. The loss is the third straight for the Revs and also snaps their 17 game unbeaten streak at home. 

The Whitecaps took a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute of play when Cristian Techera fired a shot past Revolution goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth and into the back of the net.  

Vancouver would go up 2-0 in the 31st minute when Ocatvaio Rivero scored on a penalty kick. Rivero's goal would end up being the game winner.

For the Revolution, Teal Bunbury scored in the 84th minute to give the Revs a chance however  they were not able to get the equalizer. 

The Revolution return to action on Saturday, July 4th when they hit the road take on FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium. Game time is set for 9 p.m.
