The 51st Northeast Amateur Invitational is underway, and it could very well be another year where par takes a beating.

But then again, this IS the Northeast Amateur, which is the 7th ranked amateur golf event in the world, according to the R&A/USGA World Amateur ranking list.  It's also Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, RI...where the par-69 layout usually proves to be more than a match for many of the game's best amateur players.
