Scott Cordischi On Sports: Pats-Broncos Second Rate?

CBS executives may be thrilled with their made-for-prime time Brady-Tebow match-up Saturday night at Gillette Stadium, but the most intriguing game may be the one preceeding the Pats-Broncos game.

Saturday at 4:30pm on FOX, the New Orleans Saints will visit the San Francisco 49ers. Simply put, this is a match-up of a great offensive team (New Orleans) against a great defensive one (San Francisco).

Drew Brees had a record-setting season for the Saints who were unbeatable at home (8-0). But this game will not be played in the Superdome. It will be played outdoors on natural grass at Candlestick Park in San Francisco where the Niners went (7-1) this season. It’s a heck of an appetizer for what we New Englanders consider the main course.
