Two Friars selected for all-Big East teams
The season may not have been the success on the floor the Providence Friars were hoping for, but there certainly are some building blocks set in the foundation.

Junior guard Vincent Council and freshman forward LaDontae Henton were selected to the post-season Big East all-star squads, as chosen by the league's coaches. Council, who was selected to the all-Big East third team, led the Big East in assists (7.5 per game) and led PC in scoring at 16.2 points per game during the regular season. Henton, picked for the Big East all-rookie team, led the Friars with nine double-doubles (double figure points and rebounds) during the year, and finished as one of the top scorers and rebounders among rookies in the Big East. Among all players, Henton finished fifth in Big East rebounding.
The Friars finished the regular season 15-16 overall, 4-14 in the Big East. PC received the 15th seed for the post-season tournament, and will face 10th seeded Seton Hall Tuesday night at 7:00 pm ET. Tournament pairings and all-league teams are listed below.
