The URI Rams men's basketball coach Dan Hurley has announced the team has signed Four McGlynn to a financial aid agreement and he will join the team and be eligible to play in the 2015-16 season as a graduate transfer student.

“We are tremendously excited to add Four to our Rhode Island basketball family. During this offseason, one of our main objectives is to add perimeter shooting and scoring to our lineup and we feel as though we have done that with Four,” said head coach Dan Hurley.

McGlynn, a 6'2" 180 lb. guard, comes to URI after playing two years at Towson University where he averaged 12 points per game while knocking down 37% of his shots from beyond the arc. McGlynn is also a 82% free throw shooter and finished the 2014-15 season ranked fifth in the country in free throw percentage.

McGlynn started his career at the University of Vermont and has poured in 1,148 points and knocked down 194 three-pointers in his three years.

“Four is a proven offensive weapon, having scored over 1,100 career points while connecting on close to 40% from beyond the arc and over 90% from the foul line.  His experience, shot-making, and basketball IQ makes us a much more dangerous offensive team,” Hurley said.
