URI Falls At Texas 100-90

Jim Baron knew that it wasn't going to be easy.  His Rams have taken on quite an ambitious non-conference schedule with a young team, no less.  Still, Baron's Rams show up ready to play each time out and Tuesday was no different in Austin, Texas.

Rhody hung tough with the Longhorns for most of the game, trailing only by 3 at half time 46-43.  But junior guard J'Covan Brown was too much for Rhode Island scoring a career-high 35 points which included 5 three pointers, 6 assists and 0 turnovers.  It helped Texas pull away for the 100-90 win over URI dropping the Rams to (0-2).

Guard Jamal Wilson continued his torrid play for the Rams following up his 38-point performance at George Mason with 24 more against the Longhorns.  Nikola Malesevic added 22, Orion outerbridge 15 and Mike Powell 13 to pace the Rams.
