URI Gets Hammered at St. Bonaventure - First Conference Loss

The University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team got a painful dose of reality on Wednesday night at St. Bonaventure.

The Rams were blown out in the first half, 51-25.

The second half was not much better. The final score was 99-64.

The Rams fall to 9-8 on the season and 3-1 in the A-10.

St. Bonaventure moves to 11-5 and 3-1 in A-10.

Luis Kortright led URI with just 13 points. He was just 4-11 from the field.

The Rams shot 40% from the field, but the  Bonnies shot 57%.

Bonnie’s bench outscored the Ram’s bench 37-16.

And, St. Bonaventure scored 29 points off URI turnovers. The Rams only scored 2 points.

The Bonnies were led by former Bryant University star Charlie Pride, who had 25 points.
