The Warwick North Little League Junior Softball All-Star Team (under 14) is headed to Kirkland Washington for the start of the Junior Softball World Series. Warwick will represent the East in the World Series which begins on Sunday, July 31.

The team went 8-0 at the Eastern Regional Championship this week that was held in Orange, Connecticut.

However, the team needs help paying for the trip and have created a gofundme page to raise money to help pay for the trip.

"Little League covers only the essential costs of getting to Kirkland, but there are numerous other expenses to cover this journey. With your generosity it can help offset many of these financial burdens which can easily reach into the thousands of dollars. Please consider helping out these athletes as they continue to represent this wonderful city to the world with distinction and pride," the page says.

As of Friday, July 29, the page has raised $300 out of their goal amount of $5,000.
