Seems to me that it’s now a matter of tweaking the track of the center of the storm so that we can try to pin down the area(s) where most of the snow will accumulate. It does appear that heaviest amounts will fall in the “usual” places ... Providence north and west up into Central Massachusetts and Northeastern Connecticut but elsewhere there should be a substantial accumulation as well.
There could be many spots, including Providence, where a foot or more of heavy, wet snow will fall. It is still too early to try to pin it down further but this certainly looks like a major event for just about everyone .
It should begin later Wednesday or in the evening and fall heaviest overnight into Thursday morning. There is still time for updates in the forecast to take place and later data could change things, but for now it looks like we’re headed for a white Christmas."
