Snow Possible in RI on Saturday, Says National Weather Service

The National Weather Services is predicting a "30-40%" chance for precipitation for Providence and parts of Rhode Island starting early Saturday morning, which could include snow. 

In its detailed forecast on Tuesday, NWS said there is a chance of snow -- as well as rain -- for the region, ending Sunday morning. 

NWS did not list any possible accumulation totals.

NWS Forecast: 

Friday Night: A chance of snow after 4am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 28. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday: A chance of snow before 11am, then a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Calm wind becoming northeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: A chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
