32 Custom House Street — which was converted from office space to apartments — will now go through another transformation.

ASH NYC, the developer and interior designer of the Dean Hotel, had previously turned it into ten apartments.

“Ari Heckman, the brainchild amongst a few others with Ash New York, were behind the redevelopment and repurposing of that building. It had sat vacant you know. That was around 2014, 2015 and they converted that into apartment rentals and did a great job with it,” said Cullion.

“We're going to be set to hit the market in the next couple of months or so. Things are far enough along where we've got some great momentum,” added Cullion.

The building, situated within the Financial District, typifies the High Victorian Gothic Style.

Kite Architects helped transform the building and described it as the following. “Originally built in 1875, the building retains its beautiful bronze storefront and interior grillage from the time when it was a waterside bank. The apartments range from spacious double-high spaces with lofts to cozy units with dramatic views.”

Kite’s work garnered multiple awards, including:

2016 Providence Preservation Society Rehabilitation Award

2017 Rhody Award, Preserve RI & RIHPHC

2017 Citation AIA Rhode Island
