The RI Department of Labor and Training will host a job fair at the Providence netWORKri Career Center on February 2 and 3, to recruit workers for Greencore USA’s Quonset Business Park location. The recruitment drive will run from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Greencore USA will open a new production facility at Quonset Business Park in March. They are looking to hire about 100 food production technician positions at the two fairs.

Once fully staffed, its RI location will have close to 400 employees of varying skill levels, from entry-level production to highly-skilled technical positions. All positions are full-time and offer benefits.

The job fairs are both free and open to the public.

Attendees are asked to be prepared for an on-site interview, dress appropriately, and provide copies of his or her résumé.

Governor Gina M. Raimondo said, "I welcome Greencore USA to Rhode Island and the Quonset Business Park. A smart and innovative market leader in the convenience foods industry, Greencore is just the kind of business that Rhode Island needs to attract - a company that will create good, middle-class jobs for Rhode Island families. My Administration is committed to seeing that Greencore makes it in Rhode Island. Next week's recruitment is an important step toward our goal."

Greencore USA CEO Liam McClennon, said, "We are absolutely delighted to be opening this new facility in Quonset. We had a number of options on where to locate this new site and it quickly became apparent that Quonset would be the ideal location for us. The State of Rhode Island has been very helpful and responsive to our specific needs and the Quonset Development Corporation has been incredibly supportive throughout the process, something which we are extremely grateful for."

At the recruitment on February 2-3, Greencore also will be recruiting for positions including production line lead, production line operative, production material handler, production prep operative, and production supervisor.
