NEW: Rhode Island Gets Back $713K from 38 Studios Video Game Sales

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning's sales have hit that mark since the state acquired various Amalur assets last summer, it was confirmed by Richard Land of Chace Ruttenberg & Freedman, which represents Rhode Island in the matter.
The sales are made via digital distribution of the game, not physical copies, and publisher Electronic Arts still has the right to sell the game and net profits. Rhode Island has owned Amalur assets in August, in addition to the highly-publicized "Copernicus", 38 Studios' massively multiplayer online game.
