Women’s Fund Taps Honor

The Women’s Fund of Rhode Island has named Debra Honor as its new Development Director. 

A nonprofit — and music — professional, Honor has served as a Heart Walk Development Director for the American Heart Association, “Chief People Connector” for the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, and as a Business Performance Advisor for Insperity. 

Honor is also the founder of Heart of Rhode Island Networking & Referral Group, which meets monthly at Plant City in Providence.

She is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island’s 2022 Sigma II class. 

 

New General Manager for Wilbury 

Wilbury Theatre Group has announced that Christine Treglia as their new General Manager of Wilbury Theatre Group.

Currently the Front of House Manager, Treglia’s new position with the organization begins February 1, 2024.

Treglia joined Wilbury Theatre Group in 2013 as an actor and has served as the Front of House Manager since the 2013/14 season, and in the same capacity for FringePVD since its inaugural year in 2014.  Since joining the Board of Directors in 2014, she has been a member of the Fundraising Committee behind Wilbury’s annual gala. 

She also serves the Rhode Island community as a Human Services Policy & Systems Specialist at the RI Department of Human Services. 

“Christine has been a grounding force for Wilbury since she started working here more than a decade ago. Every artist that works with us, every audience member and supporter we have, appreciates the warmth and diligence with which she’s run our Front of House over the years,” said Wilbury Theatre Group Artistic Director Josh Short “I couldn’t be more delighted that she’s chosen to take on an even greater role in the day-to-day operations of our organization as our General Manager, and I’m excited to begin working with her in that role."

 

San Miguel’s New Executive Director 

San Miguel School Executive Director John Wolf has announced his successor. 

“As many of you know, early this fall I informed the board that this would be my last year serving as Executive Director of San Miguel,” Wolf posted to Facebook. “At this time, it gives me great pleasure to share the news that Mel Bride, San Miguel’s current Director of Advancement and Strategic Partnerships, has been selected to serve as San Miguel’s next Executive Director effective July 1."

According to Wolf, Bride is a “career educator, having served in the roles of teacher, coach, dorm parent, department chair, service learning director, DEI coordinator, admissions interviewer, and Dean of Students at several independent schools in the Northeast.”
