People on the Move: BankNewport Names Kyle Martin VP for Compliance and CRA

BankNewport is pleased to announce that Kyle A. Martin has been promoted to Vice President, Director of Compliance.  In his new position, Martin will be the internal consultant to management and business lines throughout the organization related to the Bank’s Compliance Management Program.   He has also been appointed the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer, responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the Bank’s CRA performance program and compliance goals.   

He joined BankNewport in 2012, and most recently served as Vice President, Compliance Analyst/Trust Officer.  He has over a decade of banking experience with a concentration in bank compliance laws and regulation and holds his Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) Certification.

 

Martin also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Rhode Island.  A native and current resident of Newport, he also serves on the board of the Newport Library.
