CVS CMO Heads to GM

The chief marketing officer at CVS Health’s Norm de Greve is leaving the Woonsocket-based company to join General Motors effective July 31.

De Greve, 54, takes over as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, replacing Deborah Wahl at GM.

He had held the CMO position at CVS since 2015.

He gained global attention for the company for taking a stand in 2018 against photoshopping models in CVS Health’s marketing.

BLM RI PAC Welcomes Keith Stokes as Newest Board Member

The Black Lives Matter Rhode Island Political Action Committee (BLM RI PAC) is thrilled to introduce Keith Stokes, a Newport native, as the newest addition to its executive board. Stokes, who currently serves as the Vice President of the 1696 Heritage Group, brings extensive expertise in business, community development, and historical consulting. With degrees from Cornell University and the University of Chicago, he has held prominent leadership positions, including the Executive Director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation and the Newport County Chamber of Commerce. 

He served as Rhode Island’s top economic development official under Republican Governor Don Carcieri and was the architect of the 38 Studios deal.

And he served as Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza’s economic development director.

Stokes has also served as an advisor for Rhode Island with the National Trust for Historic Preservation and has been actively involved in numerous regional and national historic preservation boards. Recognized as a respected lecturer on community planning, historic preservation, and interpretation, he possesses early African and Jewish American history expertise. Stokes's notable accolades include the United States Small Business Administration's Rhode Island Small Business Advocate of the Year Award and the Rhode Island Martin Luther King Keeper of the Dream Award.
