Marc A. Crisafulli has been named chairman of the Bally’s Rhode Island Board which has been created to focus exclusively on operations, growth, community relations and workforce enhancement in Rhode Island.
According to Jaymin Patel, Vice Chairman of the Bally’s Board of Directors and fellow Bally’s RI Board member, the creation of the local advisory board is representative of the company’s continued commitment to Rhode Island. “As the company’s footprint expands throughout the globe, it’s critically important that our leadership team remain focused on ways to preserve and enhance our strong presence in Rhode Island, and we are thrilled to have Marc rejoin the Bally’s family in this capacity to help guide our efforts in our home state,” said Patel. “We demonstrate this in a number of ways already, most recently with the extraordinary $5 million investment in CCRI and the execution of key components of the Marc A. Crisafulli Economic Development Act of 2021 such as the expansion of our flagship property in Lincoln, and the opening of the Bally’s Event Lawn in Providence. The work of this Board will ensure our focus on Rhode Island remains a top priority for this company.”
In addition to Patel and Crisafulli, other members of the Bally’s RI Board include George Papanier, President of Bally’s, Craig Eaton, President of Bally’s Rhode Island and Corporate Secretary, and Elizabeth Beretta Perik. Ms. Perik is active in her community both at a local level serving on the boards of the Rhode Island Hospital Foundation and the Newport Boys and Girls Club, and nationally on the Library of Congress’s Madison Council and The President’s Advisory Committee on the Arts. She also serves as Rhode Island’s National Democratic Committeewoman.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Bally’s to build upon the already tremendous strides it has made to diversify its Rhode Island product offerings to maximize revenue to the State, to remain competitive in the New England market and to grow its workforce,” said Crisafulli. “I’m honored to serve as chairman of this board and to myopically focus on strengthening our local operations and outreach to the Rhode Island business, labor and stakeholder community.”
