“South County Health is experiencing phone & network issues,” announced South County on social media shortly before noon. “We will continue to post updates. Thank you for your patience.”

On Wednesday, South County Hospital received an “A” rating for hospital safety from LeapFrog

Director of Marketing Jane Brog provided the following statement on Thursday afternoon.

"Today, South County Health has experienced phone and network issues. Clinicians have defaulted to downtime procedures to properly maintain care for all patients. Out of an abundance of caution, some non-urgent appointments and procedures are being rescheduled. We are communicating with all those impacted. A team of experts is working on the phone and network issues and will resolved them as soon as possible. We believe this issue was caused by an internal hardware problem."

On Thursday night, Brog announced that the issues were "resolved."

"South County Health’s network and phone issues are now resolved. We are welcoming patients and will continue routine processes of care in our hospital and ambulatory locations," said Brog.
