United Way of RI Announces Two New Hires and a Staff Promotion

United Way of Rhode Island has announced two new hires and a staff promotion to the organization's management teams. 

Amanda Heinsen of Providence has been promoted to Director of Major Gifts, while Pawtucket's Carolina Correa comes to United Way as Major Gifts Officer & Young Leaders Circle Manager. Diana Perdomo of Providence has been hired as Director of Grants and Strategic Initiatives.

Amanda Heinsen has been with United Way since September of 2009 when she joined as a Development Officer. Heinsen most recently served as Major Gifts Officer & Young Leaders Circle Manager. Heinsen is graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and a minor in Public and Community Service. 

As Director of Major Gifts, Heinsen is responsible for managing the organization's major gifts program which includes operational plans, donor events and financial and data analysis. 

Carolina Correa
Carolina Correa 

Carolina Correa comes to United Way  after spending two years with United Way of Central Massachusetts, where she served as Relationship Manager. Correa holds a BA from Assumption College and has been recognized by CNN as one of their Top 20 Young People Who Rock. 

As Major Gifts Officer and Young Leaders Circle Manager, Correa will support the efforts of the organization's Resource Development department, working with donors to increase donations and reach annual fund goals. 

Diana Perdomo
Diana Perdomo 

Diana Perdomo comes to United Way after spending four years at Brown University working in the Office of Global Engagement. Most recently, Perdomo worked as Global Relations Officer and helped advance Brown's International efforts, managing activities in the Americas, Middle East, Asia and Oceania. Perdomo holds a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara. 

As Director of Grants and Strategic Initiatives, Perdomo will oversee the organization's program efforts related to expanded learning, summer learning, and workforce development.
