Don't Miss: Whiskey Tasting + Book Signing in Providence Dec. 5th

Clay Risen, author of American Whiskey Bourbon & Rye: A Guide to the Nation’s Favorite Spirit will headline an evening of learning, book signing, and tasting sponsored by Bottles Fine Wines and Books On The Square. Bottles will pour 4 different American whiskies for sampling: Elijah Craig 12 Year Bourbon, Sons of Liberty Single Malt Whiskey, Rittenhouse 4 Year Rye, and Corsair Quinoa Whiskey.
American Whiskey, Bourbon + Rye
The number of commercially available American whiskeys has grown exponentially over the past 20 years-as has its popularity. Risen, an editor at the New York Times and also the author of Mash Notes on the fine arts of distilling and its products, has answered the trend with the only guide devoted solely to US-made whiskey, rye, and bourbon. Arranged alphabetically by distillery and/or brand, American Whiskey, Bourbon & Rye offers histories, ratings, and tasting notes for over 200 whiskeys. Each main account includes the name and address of the maker, including website URL and contact information, along with its various products. In addition to finding information on how to get the best value for your money, readers will learn how to buy whiskey, how to read a label, which whiskey to give as a gift, and much more.
