Caffe Dolce Vita on Federal Hill in Providence is closing.

The Marrocco Group announced that the restaurant will close after 26 years on Monday, October 8 at 10 p.m. following dinner service.

“After 26 years I have decided to downsize and semi-retire, I plan to offer some consulting services within the industry. My goal will be to find a suitable tenant to occupy this premier space in the plaza,” said Gianfranco Marrocco.

According to the press release, "all of the team members at Caffe Dolce Vita have been offered new positions amongst the many industry connections that Marrocco has in the industry."

The restaurant has been a fixture on Federal Hill for 26 years and was the first outdoor Caffé in Providence.

It is known for serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to locals, celebrity guests and more.

The Marrocco Group still owns and operates two other businesses on Federal Hill including Hotel Dolce Villa and Blend.
