NY Chef Michael Ginor Coming to Gracie's Star Chef Series

You had me at foie gras and wine.

Gracie’s already has my mouth watering at the mere thought of their upcoming Star Chef Series, the three-year-old tasting-menu concept that pairs brilliant chefs from around the country with Gracie’s Executive Chef Matt Varga. On March 21st diners can look forward to a five-course dinner, each one paired with wine. Chef Varga will be collaborating with acclaimed chef Michael Ginor of NY’s LOLA restaurant and owner of James Beard-Foundation-award-winning Hudson Valley Foie Gras.

While no two Star Chef dinners are alike, I can say that any meal I’ve had at Gracie’s has been exceptional and the last Star Chef dinner I attended had me dreaming of epicurean wonders for weeks. The menu on March 21st will have plenty of foie gras, which is fine by me.

A sneak preview of the menu

1st course: Tuna tartar, nori-cured foie gras, sweet soy glaze and quail egg

2nd course: Slow-poached Maine lobster, foie gras-truffle flan, red beet reduction and potato mousseline

More to be revealed

I don’t want to ruin all the surprises, but rest assured that this is one of the best ways to spend $100 that I can think of. You can believe I'll be there.

Be sure to follow Gracie’s on Facebook for more details and call early to make a reservation. (This event will sell out.)
