Spotted in Newport: Jay Leno Partakes in a RI Classic Ahead of National Hot Dog Day

Comedian Jay Leno has been regularly spotted around Newport ever since he purchased property in the popular Rhode Island seaside city.

Leno's love for classic cars and the Bellevue Avenue-based Audrain Automobile Museum is well-known — as GoLocal reported in March, Leno’s friend Michael Strahan was announced as a new partner at the top tourist destination. 

On Tuesday — on the eve of National Hot Dog Day on July 20 — Leno headed down the hill and visited Wally’s Wieners on Thames Street to celebrate.

And it’s not just any variety Wally’s serves — it’s Rhode Island’s own Saugy hot dogs. 

The Hollywood star appeared to have a Saugy and a burger and fries as well.
