The Journey to Hope, Health, and Healing is teaming with Wood River Health Services to provide free flu shots to anyone with a substance use disorder or is in treatment.

“Many of our patients don’t seek healthcare on a regular basis so we’re partnering with Wood River  Health Services to administer much-needed flu shots. It’s really important that our patients stay healthy and well,” said Tom Hill, CEO of The Journey to Hope, Health, and Healing.

The free flu shots are available on Friday, November 30 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at The Journey to Hope, Health, and Healing located at 86 Beach Street in Westerly.

“This partnership for a free flu clinic speaks to the core of our mission to improve the health and well-being of our community. It’s no different for those who are opioid-addicted or seeking treatment, they need to get a flu shot for their own well-being,”  said CEO Alison Croke of Wood River Health Services.
