Teen Volunteers Awarded Scholarships at Women & Infants

Women & Infants Hospital presented Teen Scholarship Awards to Katie Bednarcyzyk of North Kingstown and Jennifer Mattera of Cranston on August 26th, support ing their career goals through higher education. 

Bednarcyzk has volunteered at Women & Infants for three consecutive summers, contributing more than 135 service hours to the hospital. She is a graduate of North Kingstown High School and now attends the University of Rhode Island. She has declared nursing as her major. Mattera has contributed more than 235 hours of service over four consecutive summers volunteering at the hospital. She is a graduate of Cranston High School West, attends Providence College, and is pursuing a major in biology/pre-med.
