Physical Therapist at Women & Infants Receives Prominent Award

Melissa Nassaney, PT, DPT, of West Kingston, a physical therapist in the Program in Women’s Physical Therapy at Women & Infants Hospital, has been selected to receive the 2010 Emerging Leader Award from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).  She was nominated by the Rhode Island Chapter of the APTA. The Emerging Leader Award was established to annually honor individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary service to the profession and APTA early in their careers.Nassaney is one of 21 members who were nominated by their component leadership to receive this honor and will be recognized in the October 2010 issue of PT in Motion magazine.
