Women & Infants Hospital Adds Sonali Pandya as a Breast Surgeon

The Program in Women's Oncology at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island has announced the addition of Sonali Pandya, MD, FACS, as a breast surgeon with its Breast Health Center. 

Pandya will focus her research interest on breast cancer in young women, helping the Beast Health Center develop the support programs that are needed for cancer survivors. 

Along with that, Pandya will help with breast exam training for the residency programs at Memorial Hospital, and with the voluntary staff on evaluating and managing breast masses and breast density.

Sonali Pandya 

Dr. Pandya completed her bachelor's degree at Nova Southeastern University and attended Saint George's University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. Pandya completed a general surgery residency at Albany Medical Center before coming to Women and Infants for her breast fellowship. 

Dr. Pandya is coming back to Women & Infants where she completed the society of Surgical Oncology Breast Disease Fellowship in 2010. 

Prior to coming back, Pandya operated a private practice in her home state of Florida.
