Don McLean is one of America’s most enduring singer-songwriters and is forever associated with his classic hits "American Pie," "Vincent (Starry Starry Night)," "Castles in the Air," "And I Love You So," and "Crying."
Since first hitting the charts in 1971, Don has amassed over 40 gold and platinum records worldwide and, in 2004, was inducted into the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame.

Jersey Boys at PPAC
Jersey Boys is the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning Best Musical about Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi.

Island Moving Company Presents Convergence at Gamm Theatre
Island Moving Company, Newport’s professional, contemporary ballet company, presents Convergence at the Gamm Theatre, a mixed repertory show featuring Jose Limon’s “Mazurkas” and a world premiere by choreographer Tina Bohnstedt, along with Miki Ohlsen’s 2018 breathtaking piece “Kindred: two hearts” and three other well known IMC favorites.

Join 30+ unique artists, a variety of food trucks, cold and delicious drinks, and live music. The event is free to attend. Enjoy your food and beverages outside with the artisans and music or head inside and take advantage of the seating throughout the tasting room and it’s unique seating options.

Providence Medical Orchestra Spring 2019 Concert at Brown University
The Providence Medical Orchestra (PMO) will perform its second-ever concert this spring.
The Providence Medical Orchestra is a community orchestra comprised of medical professionals, premedical, medical and biomedical students, as well as members of the greater Providence community, led by Music Director, John Masko.
The orchestra’s upcoming concert will feature soprano Emily Derecktor, a third-year medical student at the Warren Alpert Medical School, along with Antonin Dvorak’s “New World” Symphony and George Butterworth’s Banks of Green Willow.
The concert begins at 7 p.m.

Misquamicut Spring Festival at Misquamicut State Beach
The festival features live music from bands such as Displaced Danger, Dirty Deeds and more.
For kids, there will also be rides, face painting and much more.
The festival hours 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on May 10, 11 .m. to 11 p.m. on May 11, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 12.

Xiu Xiu at Columbus Theater
Xiu Xiu was born on a dance floor, arriving alone at the club and going home alone from the club
The music is drawn from British post punk and synth pop, modern Western classical, noise and experimental musics, Asian percussion musics, American folk, torch singers, house, techno, and 1950s rock n roll.

Outdoor Providence Flea at the Providence River Greenway
The Providence Flea is returning outside starting on Sunday.
Opening Day of the Flea's seventh outdoor season features local vintage vendors, artisans and indie makers, local musician Lainey Dionne, featured nonprofits the RI Veterans Corps, a project of Westbay Community Action and Ten Lives Cat Rescue, food purveyors including Rhode Rage, Gastros Charcuterie, Red's Street Kitchen, FUGO Asian Fusion, Atomic Blonde Ice Cream, Clover Desserts, Kué Desserterie, The Big Freezy and Presto Coffee truck.
The market opens at 10 a.m.
