Bob Marley at RI Comedy Connection
Originally from Maine, Bob Marley began performing stand-up comedy in his hometown of Portland.
He moved to Boston early in his career, gaining experience in a city known for spawning comedy all-stars.
He now has a weekly radio call-in segment with several radio stations around the country called “The World According to Bob.”
Winner of this year’s XM/Sirius ‘Super Bowl of Comedy’, he continually makes new fans around the country.

Roosevelt Avenue Haunted Illuminations at Slater Mill
The 6:30 pm illumination of City Hall's Tower and the 1758 Sylvanus Brown House in dramatic lighting sets the spirited tone for an extended week of haunted happenings in Pawtucket.

5th Annual Halloween Gala at Courthouse Center for the Arts
The event will feature James Montgomery who is sure to get you up and rocking.
There is going to be a great raffle going on and of course in the spirit of the holiday, a costume contest.
Be sure to come in your best halloween costumes because there will be prizes for the best, worst, scariest and funniest costumes. The Courthouse will also be decked out in scary haunted house fun, maybe the ghosts will even want to come out and play.
Montgomery comes on at 8 p.m. and doors open at 7 p.m. with a full bar and plenty of room to socialize and show off your halloween spirt.

2019 U.S. Quidditch Northeast Regional Championships at Bend Street Athletic Complex in Warwick
College teams from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont will compete at this event for the opportunity to attend the national championship, the US Quidditch Cup, and for the title of regional champion.
Want to try the sport for the first time? They will be teaching youth quidditch on both Saturday and Sunday to elementary, middle, and high school students.
Players do not have to sign up in advance to participate, just stop by the HQ tent on-site. All participants must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

Beervana Fest 2019 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston
Join Rhode Island’s ultimate craft beer festival at the annual Beervana taking place at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet.
Tickets are $55.00 in advance through Eventbrite, and includes 1 tasting glass, 2 oz pours of more than 250 plus world-class beers, a festival guide and a bottle of water.
Stop in to the educational seminars taking place on-site to learn more about the world of craft beer!

Providence Medical Orchestra Halloween Concert at Brown University's Sayles Hall
The Providence Medical Orchestra (PMO) is set to host its first-ever Halloween-themed family concert.
The concert will feature Halloween orchestral favorites like Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain and Saint-Saens’ Danse Macabre.
The concert will feature organ music by Brown University Organist Mark Steinbach.
The music begins at 7 p.m.

Flickers' Vortex Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror Film Festival at Various Venues Across RI
A phantasmagoric symphony of international films blasts its way across the big screen as the Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) launches its 19th Annual Flickers' Vortex Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror Film Festival. In addition to its traditional spooky film fare, “Vortex” will showcase a wide array of sci-fi and fantasy cinema.
This year's festival includes a return of its popular H.P. Lovecraft Walking Tour presented in collaboration with the RI Historical Society, free after-school KidsEye programs, the Campus Connections program, which brings programming to area colleges and universities, and two free forums that look behind the scenes at creating genre films in the Ocean State.

Something Rotten at Angell Blackfriars Theatre at Providence College
The time is Renaissance England, where two brothers, Nick and Nigel Bottom, are desperate to write a hit play. But how can they when the competition is the biggest star of the era, everyone's favorite bard: William Shakespeare? So they seek out the soothsayer Nostradamus.
But not the Nostradamus, his nephew Thomas, who gives our heroes a completely original idea from the future - write a play with songs. And thus, the first-ever musical is born. But not without much mayhem, madness, and musical mishaps. There is indeed Something Rotten! - and it will have audiences rolling in the aisles.
