“We’re thrilled to welcome Mr. Eustis back to Providence. His work deftly combines theater, art, language, music, history, literature, and philosophy, and explores what it means to be human. He has argued passionately that theater is the essential art form of democracy, and has sparked conversations and dialogue from the dinner table to the White House. We are delighted to host him and to extend an invitation to the community to this event," said Executive Director Matt Burriesci.

The event will take place on Friday, December 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church.

"Moving the program to the Unitarian Church will allow us to welcome more people to an Athenæum event than ever before, and we are so grateful for their hospitality,” Burriesci added.

According to the Athenæum, the event will reach capacity quickly.

General admission registration is required. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m., the program begins at 6 p.m., and a Q&A will follow the speaking portion.
