In 1992 Fischer won a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for her hit single "How Can I Ease the Pain."
Fischer has toured with The Rolling Stones since 1989, often performing duets with Mick Jagger.
Lisa performed at the 2010 Newport Jazz Festival with Chris Botti.
Lisa Fischer hails from Brooklyn, NY and originally went by the stage name of Xena.
Fischer was featured in Morgan Neville's 2013 Oscar-winning documenatry 20 Feet from Stardom.
Lisa has also performed with Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick, Dolly Parton, George Benson, Lou Reed, Beyonce, Alicia Keyes, Teddy Pendergrass, Roberta Flack,Billy Ocean, Melba Moore, Bobby McFerrin, and Sting.
Fischer claimed her early influences were Freda Payne, Melba Moore, and Marvin Gaye.
In 2013 Fischer joined Nine Inch Nails as a back-up vocalist on their Tension 2013 tour.
Fischer has stated that she enjoys being a back-up singer much more than as a solo artist.
Fischer released her first solo album So Intense in 1991, reaching No.5 on the U.S. R&B charts.
Lisa sang the National Anthem at The Rose Bowl in 2014.
