Celebrating its 11th year, the expo is the area’s longest running women’s event “created for and dedicated to” the celebration of women. It offers an opportunity for women of all ages to be informed about health, finances, beauty, business, family, life balance, career, style, relationships and so much more. Women attend in small and large groups, they bring their daughters, sisters, moms, friends, and people they work with and there is always something for everyone.
The Women's Expo was created to encompass “all things women.” It is an event where women can focus on themselves, while experiencing a little bit of pampering, and shopping along with the ability to learn and be inspired to live their best life while visiting more than 150 female focused vendors.

More than 10,000 women are expected to attend the two day event, which is held twice a year and offers an opportunity for small businesses to connect face-to-face with women from Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Besides shopping with local businesses, the Expo affords attendees the opportunity to talk with experts about issues that are important to them while enjoying entertainment, attending four separate fashion shows, five live cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, makeovers, health screenings, fitness demonstrations, and over 15 professional seminars relating to all things “women”.
“Our vendors and patrons have been asking for a longer show, and we are so excited to be able to expand the expo to two days this year, said Pat Paolino Cruz, co-founder and co-producer of Southern New England Women’s Expo. “ We have so much going on in a two day period designed to connect business with female consumers, who influence 85% of all purchasing decisions, including autos and healthcare. The expo is an affordable way for many small businesses who have limited marketing budgets, to make a big impact locally and to promote their products, services, and brand to local women. Hopefully the experience will create longtime relationships for our vendors with their target customer base. We are encouraged knowing we are doing our part to promote small and medium size businesses and ultimately helping the local economy. And isn't that what it's all about? Promoting each other!” said Ms. Cruz.
Celebrity appearances
The event will include celebrity appearances by Amy Diaz, Winner of The Amazing Race, Popular Fashion Designer Toni Ann Spaziano who will be showing her latest Bound by the Crown Mommy and Me Collection, and World Renowned Psychic Medium/Author Matt Fraser, just to name a few. Promotional bags chock full of goodies from our vendors are distributed to the first 300 women and give-a-ways will be done through our exhibitors at many of the booths.
Tickets to the Southern New England Women’s Expo are $18 at the door, however women can pick up their FREE tickets at any participating Walgreens locations while they last, or can download a discounted coupon at www.snewomensexpo.com.

New England Family Fun Festival
Providence, RI - April 26-27, 2014
In April, the Rhode Island Convention Center will host The New England Family Fun Festival, which offers fun and educational activities for the entire family. The festivities will include rides, games, bounce houses, face painting, rock climbing, live performances by The Toe Jam Puppet Band, Vanessa Trien, Story Tellers Len Cabral, Carolyn Martino, Tammy Titus and Valerie Tutson, Marine Biology and Aquarium by Biomes, Arts & Workshops and the Providence Friar’s Official DJ, Finesse playing music during family competitions like Lego building and Simon Says. Festivities will take place from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.

118th Boston Marathon

Knights! Community Day Renaissance Faire
Worcester, MA - March 28-30, 2014
Later this month, the Worcester Art Museum will celebrate the opening of Knights!, a major arms and armor exhibition. The festivities include music; costumed performers; theater; storytelling; and art making workshops. On Saturday, come dressed as your favorite historical figure: knights, pirates, princesses, and more. On Sunday, the museum will celebrate fantasy. Gaspee Days Celebration

In June of 1772 brave colonists from Rhode Island burned the British revenue schooner, HMS Gaspee, in what has become recognized as the first overt action leading to the American Revolutionary War. Since 1965, the village of Pawtuxet has commemorated this act with its annual Gaspee Days Celebration.
