Armenian artist’s works from around the world will be exhibited in this special online “virtual” exhibit on Gallery Z’s website, www.galleryzprov.com. A diverse collection of works by renowned Armenian artists worldwide, in assorted media, styles and subjects, ranging from rolling landscapes of the homeland and modern cityscapes to portraits and historical memories, will be on exhibit from the following: Alexander Grigoryan (1927-2008), Vladmir Aivazayan b.1915 d.1999, Lazar Artazian b.1857 d.1924, "PAKRAD" b.1939, Rafael Atoyan b.1931, Seda Bekarian b.1953, Yevkine De Greef b.1934, Samuel Gareginyan b.1961, A. Umberto Crenca
Gallery Z is celebrating twenty years of showcasing fine art with over 300 exhibits over two decades. "Gallery Z Director Berge Ara Zobian is honored to celebrate Gallery’s 20th anniversary with his dear friend, Umberto Crenca, artist & co-founder of AS220," said the Gallery.
This solo exhibit of political and social artworks by Umberto Crenca will be opened at Gallery Z as restrictions are removed.
A visual and performing artist, Crenca’s works have been exhibited and performed widely in galleries, pop-up spaces and performance venues, including the Galleria Del Corso (Latina, Italy), La Galeria Matadoro (Puerto Rico), the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, the Newport Art Museum (RI) and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Scotland). He has been instrumental in, and remains committed to, the revitalization of Providence’s historic downtown, and is widely recognized locally, regionally and nationally for his contributions to numerous urban, arts, cultural and educational programs.
