Hassenfeld Institute: 15 to Watch in RI in 2015

The Hassenfeld Institute for Public Leadership at Bryant
The Hassenfeld Institute for Public leadership at Bryant University provides public officials and others involved in the development, management, and execution of public policy with the "tools and skills needed to make informed decisions and manage responsive organizations in order to govern and lead public sector and non-profit organizations effectively" -- and according to Founder and Director (and GoLocal MINDSETTER) Gary Sasse, is about to step up its presence advising in policy matters in the state.

"The Hassenfeld Institute at Bryant is moving aggressively into policy leadership big time," Sasse, the former Rhode Island Director of Administration, told GoLocal. With a new Governor -- and General Assembly -- there is certainly plenty of opportunity for the Hassenfeld Institute, which was originally founded as the Bryan Institute for Public Leadership in 2010, then renamed in 2012 when the Hassenfield family donated $1 million to Bryant to support its work.

In 2014, the Institute was active during the election cycle, hosting a Constitutional Convention Forum in February, participating in voter education initiative Job One: Leadership, and providing leadership communications for candidates and the electorate.  With newly elected officials taking office in under a week, we are staying tuned to see what policy leadership initiative the Sasse and the Hassenfeld Institute will put forth in 20145.
