Johnson & Wales Announces 2018 Commencement Speakers

Johnson and Wales University has announced that their graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremonies will take place on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.

Overall, Johnson & Wales University will confer a total of 3,200 degrees.

Graduate Ceremony on Friday

A ceremony for graduate students will be held on Friday at 11 a.m.

The keynote speaker for the ceremony will be Maine College of Art president Laura Freid.

She will also receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree.

Undergraduate Ceremonies on Saturday

There will be two ceremonies for undergraduate students on Saturday.

At 8:45 a.m., graduates of the John Hazen White College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business, College of Engineering & Design and College of Hospitality Management will be honored.

Twin River Worldwide Holdings Inc. chairman John Taylor Jr. will present the keynote address and receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree.

At 1:45 p.m., the graduates from the College of Culinary Arts and those from the College of Hospitality Management-Foodservice Management degree program will receive their diploma.

Maribeth Bisienere, Senior Vice President of Walt Disney World will present the keynote address and receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration.
