Major Retailers' Thanksgiving Day Shopping Hours
America’s favorite shopping holiday is finally here! So be sure to head out right after you digest that turkey and prepare for a night of shopping for the whole family. But remember to save some of the fun for Saturday when your local shop owners and businesses will be ready to serve you on Small Business Saturday November 29.
Participating shopping areas will include: Westminster St., and The Arcade along with the Hope St. Merchant’s Association which will be featuring local restaurants and food trucks while you shop on Small Business Saturday. “It’s a win-win for the business owners and the shoppers and we want to make it a fun experience,” says Pernilla Frazier, Co-President of the Hope Street Merchant’s Association. “We have noticed an increase in Small Business Saturday and we also have extra help from Rhode Island Foundation who recently launched a ‘Buy Local’ initiative. It’s nice to get recognition at the state level.”
